The project focused on educating the community about the environmental risks of improper plastic disposal. Participants were of two groups: engineers and youth, each inspired to drive this project forward. A total of 4 engineers and 14 youth participants received comprehensive training in construction skills, covering theoretical, practical, and sensitization aspects.

In addition to the construction training, 56 youth were actively involved in collecting, sorting, and compacting plastic waste to create eco-bricks. Through these efforts, 20,000 plastic bottles were repurposed, and over 600 people were educated on plastic waste management in Kazungula.

As the project concluded, Pendeza Shelters provided guidance on organizing and storing eco-bricks for future use, ensuring materials were efficiently arranged and readily accessible for subsequent phases. This approach fostered a culture of environmental conservation throughout the project’s lifecycle.
